Area guide: Why we love San Pedro

San Pedro del Alcantara is one of the most recently modernised areas on the Costa del Sol. Investment from both the local town hall and private developers into the area has transformed the town into a perfect blend of traditional spanish culture and modern luxury.

One of the focal points of the regeneration of San Pedro is the boulevard. The boulevard extends across the length of the town and acts as a bridge between the beachside and the old town. Here you will find various bars/restaurants, children's play areas and even an outdoor amphitheater. One of the most eye-catching features of the boulevard is the 300m long footbridge that consists of several up and downhill sections that are intended to mimic the waves of the ocean.

Located south of the boulevard are several new striking apartment developments. Among these are Aqua apartments and Los Arqueros beach. The impressive, crisp white buildings are perfectly located, surrounded by amenities and just a short 5 minute walk from the beach. Within the buildings there are: shops, offices, beauty parlours, restaurants, etc. The urbanizations offer everything you could need directly on your doorstep.
