It will be three years in the summer that Marbellapads opened brand new offices in the Taylor Wimpey development in San Pedro, known as “Los Arqueros Beach”.
Having opened up for business in 2009, I felt that the time was right to Invest in the ever popular San Pedro beachside area, writes Shane Sprenger, the owner and director of Marbellapads.
The first visit to the premises, Local 18, was very daunting. A temporary wooden door led you into what can be described as a cave!. No floors, no windows, no ceiling, no electrics, no plumbing. What the unit lacked in “home comforts” was more than made up by the size, space and location that would enable Marbellapads to continue to thrive and expand.
The ensuing months proved at times to be an uphill battle, dealing with the townhall, architects and builders, although at all times we knew that our efforts would not be in vain.With the help of a fantastic main contractor, the schedule of works and program was kept strictly adhered to, even when our glass contractor went bust, taking our money with him.
The opening day in August 2016 was a very proud day, having built the business up through the hardest economic climate most people can ever remember.
As we sit here today, the immense pride that myself and our team feel every day when we come to work still shines bright.
Marbellapads, through sheer hard work and determination, have a foot hold in the local property market. Running a tight, professional outfit means that repeat business is plentiful. Since being located in San Pedro, we have sold and long term rented a number of properties in and around the local area. Taylor Wimpey have built two other modern developments aside from Los Arqueros Beach, known as “Acqua” and “Jade Beach”. All three of these complexes are extremely popular with buyers and tenants alikes.
Conveniently located and with all the “mod cons” that clients look for, these will always sell and rent (provided that they are priced correctlty!).
We have recently sold several apartments in the “Las Adelfas” development down at the seafront, as well as renting a number of units in the “Casablanca” beach complex.
Looking back, would we open the office in San Pedro again if we had a time machine? The answer to that is a resounding YES!!! We are conveniently located to service all of our clients in the area’s where we specialise, extending out to Benahavis and the general Marbella area.
