It has been reported that San Pedro de Alcantara is to undergo further renovation and reformations. The beachside town, just next to Marbella has just recently had a huge make over and facelift, which has prompted several new property developments and overseas investment in the area. The latest announcement from the Provincial Council will be more good news to the ears of those who have recently purchased property in the area or those who are thinking of doing so.
The planned improvements are due to start in February this year with the focus of the works concentrating on connecting the new boulevard with the centre of town. Improvements include making the area more pedestrian friendly as well as updating the lighting, street furnishings and sanitation services. However possibly the biggest change will be the elimination of the street parking.
A total of 2 million euros has been set aside for the work, with the first phase expected to take around 10 months.
